Collaborative care model with Endorsed Midwife, Erin Boyd.
Collaborative care is an option for women who desire midwifery continuity of care during pregnancy, labour, birth & the postnatal period, along with a known obstetrician.
A proportion of antenatal appointments will be scheduled with Erin during the course of the pregnancy, alternating with Dr Mellor.

‘On-call’ care during the pregnancy:
If questions or concerns arise throughout the pregnancy, Erin can be contacted when necessary. If a presentation to PAC is required, Erin will meet you there for assessment.

Erin will provide intrapartum care during your labour & birth, or be the
midwife in attendance at your caesarean section. She will also provide care post-partum, with up to 6 post-natal visits to your home after your discharge from hospital.
Erin and Amy work in close collaboration throughout your pregnancy, labour,
birth & postnatal period to provide the ideal model of both midwifery &
obstetric continuity of care. There are different bundles of care depending on your requirements; please ask Amy or reception for further details including the costs of each bundle.
Please note: at this stage, Erin is only available to provide care for women in
their second or subsequent pregnancy, or for women who plan to have an
elective caesarean section. As a first labour & birth can be a lengthy
process, Erin can unfortunately not commit to providing continuity of care
within the confines of accepted safe work hours.
