Dr Amy Mellor has worked in private practice in Brisbane since 2009.  In 2017, she co-founded Castner Mellor Obstetrics & Gynaecology, located on the Mater campus.  She also works as a Staff Specialist in the Young Adult Gynaecology Service at Mater Hospital. 

Amy obtained her medical degree from the University of Qld in 1998.  She has worked in the field of Obstetrics & Gynaecology since 2000.  She was awarded the RANZCOG Medal for the fellowship exam in 2006, and obtained fellowship to the College in 2009.  In 2014, she completed a fellowship in Paediatric & Adolescent Gynaecology (PAG) at the Royal Children's Hospital in Melbourne.  She was awarded the International Fellowship in PAG in Florence, Italy in 2016.  

Amy is the former president of ANZSPAG (Aust NZ Soc of PAG), a writer and examiner for the RANZCOG Fellowship Examinations, and an examiner for the International Fellowship Exam (IFEPAG).

Amy has two high-school aged children.
